Khador has an excellent group of casters that a player can start with. I would recommend Sorscha 1 from the starter box and then picking amongst Vlad 1, Butcher 1, or Irsuk 1.

The Khador lists that are most effective usually use only 1-2 warjacks per list. Although there are exceptions to that rule, it is a list building guideline that will serve you well. Many new players are drawn to Khador because they love how the Khador warjacks look. They purchase a slew of Khardor warjacks, play lists that are composed mainly of warjacks, and then get trounced by their friends. If possible, try to avoid that pitfall.

The strength of Khador lies in its units and solos. Many players are initially drawn to Man-O-War units. They can be fun to play, but can also often struggle in scenario play due to their low speed. They are not units that I would recommend purchasing early on.
