Step 1 :
Get the latest VASSAL Engine from the VASSAL Homepage :
Step 2:
Download the Arktide VASSAL Module from here :
Step 3:
Make sure you have Java 11 installed on your computer. ( JDK, JRE or similar)
Step 4:
Start VASSAL and open the Module in File / Open :
Step 4:
Look for a game Online, or Start an offline game to access Deck Building.
Step 5:
Create a room under any name :
Step 6:
Start a new game under File / New Game :
Step 7 :
Resize the Game Window and then click "Fit Height" in the Zoom part :
Step 8 :
Under File / Preferences,
- Uncheck "Use combined application window"
- Uncheck "Center on opponent's moves"
Restart VASSAL and start the module again.
Step 9 :
Deck building :
- Click Red / Blue hand on top of the window :
- Position your Hand Window next to the Main window like this :
- Click the Cards Window to access all the cards in the module.
- Drag any Seekers, Characters and Feat cards to your hand deck.
- After you have collected the perfect amount of cards, drag your Feat cards to the "Hand Deck"
- After you have collected your Feat Deck, you can right-click on the "Hand Deck" to save it to a file for later games, or Send it to the "Red Card Deck", which will transfer these cards to the board.
Step 10:
Play!
- drag your Seeker to the Main Map, and any characters you want to use.
- You can modify the counters on the map with a mouse click, cards in the decks are automatically counted.
- If you hover your mouse on cards, it will show a larger version of that card
- Feat cards drawn from your deck will be drawn Face Down, indicated by the back side icon in the corner :
- Press Ctrl + F to Flip cards, explore the right click menus on Decks, and Cards
In the end your setup should look like this :
